Hello.

I haven't posted much recently have I? No. Well...

So my weekend was ok. It was Dave's birthday. He was 24. Jon, Beck, Matt and I went to Birmingham to buy presents for Dave. We bought a Dave name badge, a 'Jesus loves you' hat, some monkey bubble bath, a fridge magnet, a satisfied CD and various other bits and pieces. I think he liked most of it.

Then there was a bbq and a game or two of pool. Then there was Church.

My comments are broken, so apologies about that. I'll fix them soon.

I've become one of the annoying people who blog infrequently.

Tuesday, June 24, 2003

Check this out. It's really funny.

Do you ever feel like driving out to a quiet lonely place, somewhere in the country, where you only have squirrels and birds for company, maybe a snail or two, and shouting, maybe even screaming, in a high pitched, slightly psychotic voice.....

WHAT-EV-ER!! **

Well, sometimes I do.

** this is not aimed at any particular person or situation but rather at life in general and the many seemingly disconnected events that knit seamlessly together to make a random day suck.

Ok, it works. Picture blogging via my phone. Check it out here. There will be some less frightening pictures soon.

People should think hard about ideas. Natalie wrote 'Think hard about ideas' to me in one of the first emails we ever exchanged, about a project she had to do. It's true! Why, oh why, are we not all thinking hard about ideas? hmm? Like IBM, Microsoft or Disney, I bet they're thinking very hard about all kinds of ideas right now, as I type this post.

haha..

Well, it just made me see that I don't think very well unless I can write things down, or explain my thoughts and ideas to someone else. Though maybe that's normal. What do you think? More importantly, how do you think?

I'm not entirely sure why I'm writing any of this...I think it beats posting that I'm going to, at some point, post some pictures though, eh?

It's youth tonight. We're talking about having no other God's before God and not worshiping idols. Should be fun.

Oh, I purchased a new phone. It's quite nice and small and a bit cool, it's got a camera attachment too. Today I took a picture and sent that picture to myself via email. How wonderful. This is the result. I know, it's shocking. I'm just wondering if I could get something to automatically post the pictures I take to my blog, now that would be rockin. I'm also wondering what sort of a bill I'll be getting at the end of the month.

If anyone wants a random picture from my mobile phone, email me, and I'll see what I can do.

The webcam is back. You have been warned.

I had a dream last night
I dreamt you were by my side
Walking with me baby
My heart was filled with pride
I had a dream last night

Sting rocks. I love this song.

Well people, I'm back! Miss me?

First of all, thanks to Dave for posting while I was away. It made interesting reading last night. A whole pig?

Natalie and I had a wonderful holiday in St. Ives, it's just a shame you have to come back to reality, but you do, at least a little bit. I will hopefully post some pictures at some point.

Speaking of pictures, I need to take some film to the photoshop. More later.

James comes back tomorrow, you'll all be glad to hear.

How much have you missed him?

Wednesday, June 11, 2003

I've heard rumours that James blogs every day. Well. I thought that if I missed out Monday and Tuesday I would be blogging in his style. Hehe. Obviously I was wrong. Sorry :)

I still have this age-old problem of What To Blog. It's even harder on somebody else's blog. Maybe I'm not cut out for this dual-bloggage.

I wonder what James is doing right now. Will he be sunbathing? Will he be getting ready to go out for a nice meal somewhere? Will he be sleeping? Will he be trimming his toe-nails? I wonder.

So who's been watching Big Brother? I think it's a waste of time. I also think I'm becoming more opinionated as I get older. Good job I'm always right, isn't it. Joke. "haha". Thanks. Big Brother. I watched quite a lot of the last series, and got quite hooked towards the end. It didn't help that I was unemployed for much of it, and sat around watching it live on E4. Oh what I sad life I used to lead. The joys of watching Alex, Jade, Kate and Tim whizz around on roller-skates. Big Brother doesn't really get much more thrilling than that. I've heard there's a Christian in this series, called Cameron. Has anybody been watching it? Is he really a Christian? I wonder how I'd cope if I was in Big Brother. It would be interesting.

It's my birthday in 17 days. If you want to buy me something, visit brownjelly to look at my birthday-list.

Have a fun Wednesday evening.

David's Demonstrations of Delectable Dinners
Number 1)
Sunday Dinner (or, How Make The Best Use Of Your Sunday LunchTime)

You will need the following ingredients/equipment:
a pig
a cabbage
a lot of potatoes
and parsnips
stuffing mix, to make stuffing with
carrots
peas
gravy mix, to make gravy with
a carving knife
a cooker
plates
cutlery

Kill the pig. Then mix all of the above together, using the relevant equipment where necessary, cook, serve, and eat using the plates and cutlery.

If desired, you may have a "pudding" or a "dessert" after you have finished the above. Possible "puddings" include the following:
lemon meringue pie
apple crumble
rhubarb crumble
ice-cream
banana split
trifle

Feel free to add custard to any of the "puddings", in most cases you will find it a tasty addition.

After the Sunday Dinner has been eaten, you may wish to make a cup of tea and put your feet up infront of the Eastenders Omnibus. A trip to the toilet is often necessary too.

Next in the David's Delectable Dinners series: Packed Lunch

Ok, here's a bit about me for those of you who don't know who I am.

My name's Dave, my website is brownjelly.
I'm 23 years old (24 on the 28th June!).
I have been a Christian for four and a half years.
I'm living in Dudley at the moment, working as a Christian youth/schools worker as part of the Pais Project. This September I shall be moving back to Huddersfield (my home) and leading a Pais team there.
If you want to know more about me, you're best off visiting brownjelly. Am I using this as a blatant opportunity for self-promotion? Perhaps.

Questions? Answers? Queries?

Happy holiday James :)

Over to me then... well... what to blog, what to blog. I do feel privileged blogging on such an established blog as timbrell.com. How I dream of brownjelly being such a highly read blog as this one. No, you're right, I don't dream about it at all. But wow. Timbrell.com. It's like playing football in David Beckham's boots.

So come on people, give me some ideas... what shall I write? Do I write the same in brownjelly as I do here? Do I write about James here, even though I have no idea what he's doing on holiday? Do I guess? Or what? Give me some ideas, Saturday is my least creative day of the week.

I'm off on holiday in a couple of hours. Have a wonderful week everyone and I'll be back next Sunday.

Over to Dave!

To do.

1. Pack.

Thursday, June 05, 2003

Ok people. There will indeed be a guest blogger posting here while I'm off on holiday and that person, the person who will be guest blogging on my blog while I'm off on holiday will be.....!!!!!!

Dave.

So leave him lots of comments while he keeps this thing alive..He'll be posting here from Saturday.

Thanks dude.

I sometimes I wish I was able to simply click my fingers and by doing that some magical process would occur that would instantly make everything in my world, and the world of those I care about, perfectly alright.

Wednesday, June 04, 2003

There might be a guest blogger here, just while I'm away at the beach.

Moveable Type vs Blogger.

Well well. Although now Blogger is owned by Google..erm..shhhhh.

I had an amazing birthday! Thankyou to everyone for emails and comments and birthday wishes, presents, cards etc :)

Thankyou to Natalie for the most amazing day full of surprises. It was awesome babes! Thankyou so much!

I don't feel any older, in fact I feel a little younger after some pampering yesterday... it's odd when people ask you if you feel older on your birthday because really I don't feel any older than when I was like, 20 or something. I wonder if when you get to 50, you feel any older? ..maybe you just ache more ;) Age is a funny thing. Discuss...

I've been a bit of a blog slacker for which I am truly sorry. I will attempt to sort that out and blog more, and also, post some pictures. I might even have to redesign this little sucker. We'll see.

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD , "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

God has amazing plans for us. What's been going through my mind a bit lately is that we are responsible for staying close to God, seeking Him and living the life He has prepared for us. How much do we limit what God is able to do in our lives? There have been times in my life when I've asked God to set me free from things and He does, but I don't always live in that freedom. God will set us free and deal with anything in our lives which stops us from knowing more of Him and living the life He has called us to. What we have to do is then throw off the things He's dealt with and run.

So, do that!

In the words of Dave, Bo!

Monday, June 02, 2003

Hey. I'm still pretty tired but tomorrow is my birthday!! So I'm suspending all tiredness until after that.

The weekend was great apart from a nasty bit of food poisoning. Eating a kebab is like many things in life, sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn't. This time it didn't.

I'm trying to think of what else happened but it was pretty chilled out really, which was nice.

More later..send me birthday emails, or......money!
