You can put your efforts and energies into all kinds of things in life. You can place your hope and future into other people hands, into your own plans and dreams but really, if you're hope and future isn't in Christ and if you don't seek Him above everything else, then you're going to be disappointed.

Right now I can see that, I wish I could always see it with this much clarity.
